The .NET development team at Microsoft has created a new .NET logo (shown above). Their goal was to create a logo “that was in sync with the key values that we want .NET to stand for: consistency, robustness and great user experiences. The result is a design we refer to as the ‘wave.’ The design is strong, simple and distinctive. The suggestion of the letter ‘N’ in the design will become instantly recognizable over time as shorthand for the .NET brand name.”
Whoa I like it, a lot more catchy than the current “logo”
Nice logo. I like it.
I’m amazed that Microsoft has stuck with the .NET name for so long. But I guess it has evolved from a “strategy” in the late 90’s to an actual product (the .NET framework). Like the new logo!
Very nice, I do like it. But – why does everything have to be blue???
Really cool!
Also it has several meanings:
1. IV – .NET 4.0
2. sinus function symbolizes stability
3. N letter
4. blue may stand for water (stable and calm) or sky (cloud computations)
Anyway, it’s COOL!
Very nice! About time, the old one was looking so dated!

Agree with the others. Like the new logo.
I like the simple logo. I’m glad the .NET people have avoided creating a silly mascot such as the stupid (and ugly) Java Duke with an alcoholic’s nose and permanent thumbs-up.
It’s really very nice who is the creator
Often color placement and marketing schema can sometimes draw designers into a fog. Knowing we have thousands upon thousands of colors to choose from we are like pixel scientists searching for the magical cure.
very cool and eye catching logo. but why almost dominated with the blue color?
